How does a Back n Forth Journal work?

Each page has one prompt. One person writes an answer and passes the journal back. The other person reads it, writes their own reply, and passes it back again. Over time it becomes a two-way conversation you can keep forever.

What formats are available?

Every journal comes three ways:

Printed book — shipped to your door
Printable PDF — download instantly and print at home as many times as you like
Online Shared Journal — a private online journal you both open from your own devices, great for families living in two homes

How does the Online Shared Journal work?

After purchase you'll receive a private link. Share it with the person you're writing with, and you can both read and reply from anywhere. If you have trouble with your link, contact us and we'll help.

What age is this for?

Kids who can write a few sentences can usually answer on their own. Younger kids can draw their answers or say them out loud while a parent writes them down.

How long does shipping take?

Printed journals are made to order just for you, so please allow a few extra days for printing before your journal ships. You'll get a tracking email as soon as it's on its way. Digital purchases arrive right away by email.
